James Chippendale was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukemia. “Until that moment I’d never been sick a day in my life,” he says. James was determined to get the best medical team and treatment plan. “I found out that the best hospital for my disease was right in my own back yard,” he says. After receiving a life-saving bone marrow transplant at Baylor Scott & White, he says, “There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of my donor; there’s no question he saved my life. If it weren’t for him and the Baylor staff, I wouldn’t be standing here today.”
