Cholesterol: normal. Blood pressure: normal. EKG: normal. Yet Dianne Johnson was in the ER with severe chest pain. “It felt like an earthquake deep inside,” she says. Her left descending artery – the “widow maker” – was clogged. Specialists at her local Baylor Scott & White medical center performed an angiogram to detect the problem, and then put in a stent. “I can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone was phenomenal,” she says. Now Dianne’s favorite activities, like cooking and dancing, are even more fun: “Chop a little bit, dance a little bit, stir a little bit – and I’m happy,” she says.
